I2P2 Now Accepting Expressions of Interest

We are excited to announce that the Centre for Aging and Brain Health Innovation (CABHI) is offering up to $500,000 (CAD) in per project funding to support aging and brain health innovations via the Industry Innovation Partnership Program (I2P2). In total, this program will provide up to $3 million in funding to accelerate the pace of innovation for CABHI’s industry partners.  View the program page where you can learn more.

By helping to bring viable solutions to market faster, we can make a real impact on the quality of life for the world’s aging population and contribute to ensuring more resources are accessible to support this life stage.

Through the unique I2P2 partner brokering process, CABHI enables successful applicant companies worldwide to work with approved seniors’ care organizations to test and validate innovative products in the field of aging and brain health.  The resulting user focused validation reports can then inform future commercialization activities for industry partners, and help bring new and innovative solutions to the health care sector.

I2P2 is accepting Expression of Interest applications from August 25 – October 16, 2017.

To qualify for funding, project submissions must provide solutions to one of the following themes:

  • Aging in place:  solutions that enable older adults with dementia to maximize their independence and age in the most appropriate setting of choice
  • Caregiver support:  solutions that support caregivers (formal and informal) in providing care to older adults with dementia
  • Care coordination and navigation:  solutions that help older adults, caregivers and healthcare providers coordinate care for older adults with dementia
  • Cognitive health:  solutions that improve brain health and cognitive functions for aging adults, and/or support the identification of adults at risk for cognitive impairment

CABHI is made possible through the largest investment in brain health and aging in Canadian history, and one of the largest investments of its kind in the world. All that we have accomplished to date, and everything we plan to achieve in the future, would not be possible without the support of our funders: The Government of Canada’s Public Health Agency of Canada; the Government of Ontario’s Ministry of Research, Innovation and Science; the Baycrest Foundation; and our health system partners. We thank them for their continued and unwavering support.

Thank you, we look forward to seeing your I2P2 submissions soon. View the program page where you can learn more.
