On this episode of CABHI’s Community of Innovation podcast, Drs. Allison Sekuler and Rosanne Aleong speak with octogenarian Molly Sutkaitis about aging well and smashing stereotypes about older adults.

In this candid conversation, Molly shares her inspirational story about growing up in Glasgow, Scotland during the Second World War, her previous involvement in activist group the Raging Grannies, and the life experiences that motivated her to pursue a master’s degree in theology, which she received at the age of 88.

Learn more about our guest:

Molly Sutkaitis was born in 1933 in the city of Glasgow, Scotland. Molly earned her diploma in education in Glasgow before migrating to Canada. During her 37-year career as a teacher for the Toronto Catholic District School Board, Molly taught English as a second language to newcomers and continued teaching as a supply teacher for several years following retirement. A dedicated lifelong learner, Molly began pursuing a master’s degree in theology from the University of Toronto nearly 20 years ago. In 2021, Molly received her degree at the age of 88.
