Griswold has launched its Personalized Approach Training and Holistic Support (PATH) Program, a specialized dementia care initiative designed to help older persons remain independent at home for as long as possible. The program combines personalized client assessments, individualized care planning, and targeted caregiver training to better align support with each person's unique stage of the dementia journey.
Developed in response to the growing prevalence of dementia and the lack of formal dementia training among many caregivers, PATH uses a six-level assessment framework to identify clients' support needs and tailor caregiver education accordingly. The program emphasizes person-centered care, focusing on an individual's history, preferences, abilities, and goals to help preserve dignity, independence, and quality of life.
A key feature of the program is its in-person, train-the-trainer model, which promotes hands-on learning, collaboration, and practical skill development. Following a pilot launch in early 2026, Griswold is expanding the program across its network, with the goal of providing families with more specialized dementia support and alternatives to institutional care.
